Kinahmin Tuvat ja Tarinat- a rural tourism company- is located in Nilsiä. The location is ideal, because it is only 35 km to Kuopio airport, 15 km to the ski center Tahkovuori and 11 km to Nilsiä centre.

The Anttila farm has been active from the 18th century. Until 1850 it was owned by the Heikkinen family and after that, the Parviainen family. Traditional agriculture has nowadays been extended to hospitable accommodation and program services.

Nowadays Sisko and Pauli Parviainen own the farm.




There are preserved and refurbished old buildings on the farm. The oldest part of the ranch house was built in 1813 and the stone byre in 1906. The sheds date from the 19th century.

On a tour you can see traditional tools and farm machinery. There are also old clothing accessories and items, which all have many interesting stories to tell.
